Impulse Space, a developer of in-space transportation vehicles, has raised $500 million in a Series D round, underscoring investor appetite for the companies building the infrastructure of the new space economy.
Big-name backers
The round drew investors including 137 Ventures, Banner VC, Founders Fund, Lux Capital and Linse Capital, pushing the company's total funding above $1 billion. The capital will support development of vehicles that move payloads between orbits.
Space economy momentum
The raise comes amid surging interest in space, highlighted by SpaceX's record IPO. Venture investors are backing firms across launch, satellites and orbital logistics as commercial activity in space accelerates.
