OpenAI's models have arrived on Amazon's cloud. GPT-5.5, GPT-5.4 and the Codex coding agent are now generally available on Amazon Bedrock, giving AWS customers direct access to OpenAI's frontier models.
First-party pricing
Pricing on Bedrock matches OpenAI's own rates with no additional fees, and usage counts toward existing AWS cloud commitments. For Codex, there are no seat licences or per-developer commitments — teams pay per token.
Where Codex runs
Codex is available through the Codex app, the Codex CLI, and IDE integrations with Visual Studio Code, JetBrains and Xcode. Nvidia positions GPT-5.5 for the hardest workloads and GPT-5.4 for the best price-performance, with both suited to coding, reasoning and agentic tasks.
The move widens OpenAI's distribution beyond Microsoft Azure, placing its models inside the world's largest cloud platform.
